The Fifth Watches - Natsu Blue & Silver Review and 10% Discount Code*

Boo!

How are we all this week? 27 days until Christmas, eek! Talking about Christmas here's a watch I think would be an absolutely perfect gift. My readers may recognise this watch brand as I blogged about their Rose Gold watch from their New York classic range last year. I was surprised to learn that the wonderful team at the 5th had actually read my post, and was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to review a watch from their Tokyo range. I have also been given a 10% discount code for all my readers, just type in "IZZY" at the checkout.

As some of you may know, since Cinderella I have loved the colour blue, so when I was given the chance to choose a watch from the 5th's range, I could not not choose the Natsu which you can purchase HERE. Each of the watches from the 5th's Tokyo range are named after the seasons in Japan: FUYU represents winter, AKI Autumn, HARU Spring, NATSU Summer and TSUYU demonstrates the rainy sides.

These pictures show my first impressions and unboxing of the Natsu. This is an honest opinion of this watch.

I love the packaging. Anything with neutral, subtle tones wins me over straight away. When I first unboxed the watch my first thought was, oh goodness I'm going to break it whilst trying to click the straps together. The mechanism is actually really simple and is a great way to switch up different colours.

Comparing this from my Rose Gold watch you can tell straight away that the Natsu has a way more minimalistic look. I have to say, the first couple of days I was wearing the watch I thought, I kind of missing having 'The Fifth' written on the clock face, but having worn it for a bit longer, I actually really love the simple look. This watch is subtle, understated but at the same time makes for a great fashion piece. The colour (as I am biased towards this colour) is just perfect for any time of the year. I also really like how the leather straps have two loops rather than the two in the New York classic range. It just means that you won't have the strap randomly coming loose.

If you haven't heard of the 5th or their concept, they sell their watches on the 5th of every month and are only available for sale for five days. So their next launch will be 5th December! I hope you enjoyed this post! Thank you so much again to the 5th and for all you wonderful people for reading! Remember if you want to get any of their watches to apply to code :)

Autumn Vibes #32 (Smart Casual)

Boo!

It's been too long! I've really missed blogging and connecting with the wonderful people in the blogging community. Unfortunately after a long day of work, after trying to finish the long list of life admin matters, all I want to do is sleep. I'm also all about that natural light. I'm a bit of a picky one when it comes to my photos and as I'm still learning, the photos take a bit more time than I'd like. But then again, if I'm honest with myself these are probably just excuses. I am passionate about everything on this blog, so I should show how much this means to me. I guess I just need that kick up the butt. Thank you to my lovely kind readers for being so patient with me. I've missed you all. Here's to more posts! Let's start with a perfect autumn outfit with some wardrobe must haves.

If you were to have just one staple in your wardrobe, it would be a crisp white shirt. Look at it as a blank canvas for you to style it in any way you want. Also, you just feel great in one, as if you're all ready for business. Since loving the programme Suits, these kind of shirts remind be of the ones Rachel Zane wears. (Talking about Rachel Zane, Prince Harry you're a lucky lucky man haha). Jeans, a shirt and boots are just perfect for this time of the year. It's so easy and keeps you warm. This is even more so when your boots were grabbed at a bargain. You guys know how much of a bargain hunter I am, and these boots were reduced from £160 to £60! At first I was worried that they would make my legs shorter, but I think they're actually alright and in some cases actually has that elongating effect.

I bought these jeans from New Look yonks years ago, but they still do the job and fit great! If I remember correctly, they were less than £10! Unfortunately New Look do not stock these any more which is a shame as it means I have to go and do that dreaded journey of finding jeans that fit. You know what I mean, it's awful isn't it...but that rant is for another time.

As I do quite like the minimalistic look, I just finished off the outfit with this layered necklace I had bought from Amazon. Although admittedly, since taking these photos I've actually chucked the necklace away because the quality was just so bad.  The necklace became rusty quite quickly. This is when bargain hunting (or being stingey:p) bites you in the butt. Although I did have a lot of fun wearing the necklace, it's an important lesson to learn that quality is always key. That said, does that mean bye bye to the bargain hunter in me? Definitely not!

I hope you enjoyed this post! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a wonderful wonderful week.

Texture Restaurant Review

Boo!

I hope you are all well! It's been quite a while... I'm so sorry for the complete absence! I've just been settling into a new job but fingers crossed I'll be back on the blogging scene! Massive belated Happy New Year to all my lovely readers!

As I'm slowly easing back into blogging I thought I would share my all time favourite restaurant,  Texture, and just in time for Valentine's Day!

If you have read any of my earlier posts you may actually recognise this restaurant, as I did blog about it quite a few years back. As I enjoy going to this restaurant so much the first time, going back the second time really was scary. Scary in the sense that it wouldn't meet the high expectations it had created the first time I went. My goodness though, how my expectations were completely met and in many ways exceeded!

Little extras were still thrown in, in addition to what you ordered from the menu. The flavours were just on point and an explosion of new taste sensations! But on top of that, the staff were so attentive and knowledgeable. I've been lucky enough to try a few Michillin star restaurants (all thanks to deals that these restaurants do) but this really is the one where I feel they deserve more stars!

Although this place would be incredible to take someone to on Valentine's Day, I actually think it would be better for another time, especially at lunch. I know I've only experienced their lunch menu/ambience but I really can't think of anything more perfect and enjoyable.  For both times I went around 12-12.30 when it wasn't actually that busy, and it was really lovely because you did get fantastic service and felt as though you were in your own little bubble. It normally does get busier later on into the afternoon, and  (whenever I pass it) it is really busy in the evening.

I just can't give enough praise to this restaurant and would highly recommend it. We usually go for their set menu as it is such good value for money. I mean £27.90/£32.90 (this has slightly increased since the time I posted the pictures below) is a lot of money, but the experience you get, added extras and delicious food makes it just so special. If you are thinking of a special place to take someone and want to taste flavours would never expect, I would definitely put this on your list.
